Interview with Matthew Noble

I’m so pleased to announce this week’s interviewee, Matthew Noble. He tutors on F2F and online CELTA courses at ELS Language Center in Tacoma, WA. In his free time, he obsessively searches for (and find!) rich and unique ways to learn from and with fellow teachers online. He reads lots of blogs and writes one of his own, and is involved with iTDi, #ELTchat, and the new ELT Research Bites blog. He’s a member of WAESOL, BC TEAL, TESOL, and IATEFL and increasingly interested in not only participating but presenting at conferences. He’s also interested in how teachers’ personal experience and idiosyncratic perspectives can be better recognized and leveraged as valuable sources of professional knowledge.

Since I rejoined Twitter in July, I’ve met a couple of fantastic educators and have been growing my PLN – Personal Learning Network. One of these amazing educators is Matthew, who is very active on Twitter and we soon became Twittermates 🙂 ( that would be perfect for a new Twitter hashtag! LOL).

Watch Matthew talk about how Twitter is important for a teacher’s CPD. He also highlights one of the most interesting Twitter Hashtags which is #ELTwhiteboard, his favourite books, and other interesting stories.
